From ceviches displayed under tikki lanterns, to Top Sirloins and Fried Onion Rings, Jaguar offers a menu inspired on the unique and diverse foods found in Latin America. Located on 3067 Grand Avenue in Coconut Grove, next to Cocowalk, Jaguar offers visitors ceramic spoon Ceviche samplers, succulent meats paired with distinctive Latin sauces, fresh catches, and more. "We envisioned Jaguar as the reflection of Latin America through dishes inspired in the many cultures and tastes found there," said Chef Del Rivero. "We hope to have captured and brought to Miami the essence that makes each country unique," added Durazo.
Jaguar brings to Miami dishes that reflect the many tastes one can experience while traveling in Latin America, exhibiting the eclectic nature of South and Latin America. Another aspect of Jaguar's philosophy very representative of the Latin American culture is its family ties. Three of the fours partners are part of the same large family: Eduardo Durazo, Oscar Del Rivero, nephew of Durazo, Eduardo Del Rivero, brother-in-law of Durazo. David Quintero, the forth partner has been Eduardo Durazo's friend for decades and brings his commitment to innovation, quality and service. More subtle details in the décor can also be attributed to the family or long-time family friends. Dionisio Ceballos' family has been close with the Del Rivero family for years and the veneered palms were also made by a David Quintero, partner and long-time family friend. Finally, the restaurant painting job was the ultimate family affair done by parents, children, cousins, uncles and in-laws. |
